Dr. Amanda Chu – Endometriosis Foundation of America

Dr. Amanda Chu, a board-certified gynecologic surgeon, has brought her expertise to the forefront of complex endometriosis care at the Seckin Endometriosis Center since 2021. Her medical journey began at SUNY Stony Brook University, followed by an OB/GYN residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, where she trained under Dr. Tamer Seckin and developed a keen interest in multi-organ endometriosis and its profound impact on pain, fertility, and quality of life. Driven by a commitment to advancing her skills, she completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Hospital in 2021. Dr. Chu remains at the forefront of research, actively participating in a clinical trial at Penn State Health, exploring the potential benefits of sublingual Cannabidiol (CBD) in managing endometriosis-related pain. Her comprehensive approach and dedication make her a valuable asset in the specialized care of individuals facing the challenges of complex endometriosis.

Dr. Deborah Barbiere

Dr. Deborah Barbiere is a dedicated professional with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pace University, brings over 30 years of extensive experience to her private clinical practice. Holding a Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College and boasting Diplomate credentials in Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, Chinese Herbology, and Biomedicine, Dr. Barbiere has demonstrated her expertise in various healthcare settings, including schools, hospitals, and outpatient facilities. As an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor for Yeshiva University Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, she contributes to the education and training of future practitioners. Her affiliations with NYU Lutheran Medical Center and research on Acupuncture and Depression in stroke treatment showcase her commitment to holistic healthcare. Dr. Michael Lewis – Endometriosis Surgeon at Presbyterian-Methodist

Dr. Michael Lewis is a highly regarded board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist based in the scenic Park Slope area of Brooklyn, New York. Having completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Methodist Hospital and a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Stanford University in California, Dr. Lewis has emerged as a specialist at the forefront of his field. Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez is the visionary creator behind La Borinqueña, a beloved Puerto Rican superhero celebrated for her representation and empowerment. Through independent publishing, Miranda-Rodriguez champions diverse voices while advocating for social justice. His latest graphic novel, “Lúz La Luminosa,” slated for release in March for Endometriosis Awareness Month, introduces Lúz, a superhero confronting endometriosis, shedding light on the condition’s realities.
